In 2017 Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe became 'Salt Bae' when a clip of him theatrically sprinkling salt off his elbow onto a steak went global. In 2022 a beaming little boy named Tariq melted the internet in a Recess Therapy interview gushing about corn — 'It's corn! A big lump with knobs!' — which got remixed into a chart-climbing song. Two very different food obsessions, both impossible to forget.
